Vaca Muerta drives a new stage of industrial investment

The expansion of Vaca Muerta is changing Argentina's energy profile and, at the same time, creating conditions for a new stage of industrial investment linked to the use of gas and its derivatives.
The development of the Neuquén formation is not limited to increased hydrocarbon production. It can also favor the establishment and growth of activities that use these resources as inputs, with an impact on the country's production structure.
This transformation opens opportunities to advance greater integration between the energy sector and different industrial branches. Access to gas in larger volumes could become a relevant factor for projects aimed at adding value and diversifying the production matrix.
The so-called “Fifth Wave” of investment thus appears linked to the consolidation of Vaca Muerta as an energy platform and to the possibility of expanding its effects beyond oil and gas extraction.
