Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 17, 2026

This policy applies to both comunicacionesmineras.com and the Comunicaciones Mineras mobile app for Android and iOS. It explains what information we collect, what we use it for, who we share it with, and what you can do about it.

What data we collect

Contact form

If you write to us from /contacto, we receive your name, email and message. That message is sent directly to our mailbox (via Resend, our email delivery provider) and is not stored in any database of our own — it's equivalent to sending us an email.

Newsletter

If you subscribe from the site's footer, we store your email in our Resend contact list solely to send you our stories by email. Every send includes a link to unsubscribe whenever you want.

Mobile app account

Creating an account in the app is optional — saving favorite articles works the same without one, stored only on your own device. If you do create an account, we use your email and password solely to identify you; authentication is handled by Supabase, a specialized provider — we never see or store your password in plain text.

With an account, your saved articles are also synced to cloud storage tied only to your account, so they're available if you use the app from another device. No one but you can see those articles: they're protected so only your account can read or delete them.

The app does not access your location, contacts, camera or microphone, and does not use advertising identifiers of any kind.

Technical data and errors

On the website we use Sentry to detect technical errors (for example, a page that doesn't load correctly) so we can fix them. This may include technical information such as the page where the error occurred or the browser used. We do not record your screen or browsing activity — that Sentry feature is deliberately disabled.

Advertising

The site's ad placements are managed directly by us, with our own advertisers — we do not use third-party ad networks that track your activity across different sites or apps.

Instagram integration

Our editorial team uses the Instagram API exclusively to publish our own editorial content on our official account (@comunicacionesmineras) from our internal panel. This integration does not access data from other accounts or other people who use Instagram — the only data it handles is our own account's access token, which we manage ourselves and can revoke at any time from that account's settings.

Data deletion: if you believe this integration processed some data of yours and want to request its deletion, write to us through our contact form — we respond and delete what applies within 30 days of the request.

Who we share information with

We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties for commercial purposes. We share information only with the technical providers that make the service possible, and only for that purpose:

  • Resend — contact and newsletter email delivery.
  • Supabase — account authentication and storage of articles saved in the app.
  • Sentry — technical error monitoring for the website.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access your data, correct it, or delete it.

  • Delete your app account: from the "My account" tab, while signed in, tap "Delete my account". This permanently deletes your account and your articles saved in the cloud. Articles saved only on your device, without an account, are removed by uninstalling the app.
  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter: with the link included in every send.
  • Any other request (access, correction, or removal from the contact form): write to us through our contact form.

Children

Our site and app are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from that audience.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. We recommend checking back from time to time.
