YPF Launches Command Center for Critical Assets

YPF inaugurated the RTIC Security Control Room, a command and control center designed to monitor and manage security incidents across more than 520 critical company assets. The network includes refineries, terminals, service stations, and other strategic facilities.

The facility operates continuously, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with 19 operational stations. From there, information from more than 6,500 cameras connected to the corporate video surveillance system is centralized.

Data centralization aims to accelerate response times to events, improve incident tracking, and strengthen YPF's operational analysis and intelligence capabilities.

"This new RTIC Security Control Room allows us to anticipate events, make better decisions, and protect our assets with the highest standards, supporting the challenges of increasingly efficient and secure operations," said Horacio Marín, YPF's president and CEO.

As part of the new scheme, YPF incorporated 11 drones for remote aerial monitoring tasks. Five of those units can be deployed autonomously from fixed stations installed at priority assets, while all operations are coordinated from the control room by certified pilots.

The company noted that the initiative deepens the digitalization of its operations and consolidates a security model based on technology, prevention, and operational intelligence for its energy activities.
