YPF Expands Energy Offerings for Mining with Diesel 10 Minero

YPF introduced Diesel 10 Minero, a fuel developed to supply mining operations subjected to low temperatures, high altitude, and operational continuity requirements. The product is already commercialized in Argentina and features ultra-low sulfur content and no biocomponents.

The offering was presented at Argentina Mining Salta 2026, in a context of expanding mining activity and increased demands for energy availability, efficiency, and reliability. According to the company, the formulation is designed to support equipment and operations in high-mountain areas.

The fuel is part of a broader YPF offering for the sector. The company indicated it controls more than 90% of the fuel supply market for mining and complements this business with specialized logistics, technical assistance, and energy solutions.

Within this framework, San Antonio de los Cobres acquired a strategic role with the launch of a comprehensive logistics base located at 4,000 meters above sea level. The complex features a modular service station, a mining-oriented supply plant, and a yard for equipment and supplies management, focused on operations in the Puna region of Salta.

The offering also includes YPF Luz services, such as electrical supply contracts, renewable energy, on-site generation, and high-voltage line development. The company reported installed capacity of 3.8 GW and operations in eight provinces.

YPF Gas, meanwhile, provides LPG supply, infrastructure, logistics, telemetry, and technical support for projects located in remote areas. The company has operational presence in General Güemes and targets these solutions to large-scale mining projects.
