Oil wells assessed in Santa Cruz

The Secretariat of State for Energy and Mining Environmental Oversight and Control supervised mechanical integrity tests carried out on injection wells at the Del Mosquito deposit, operated by FOMICRUZ SE.

The inspections correspond to the second annual verification round for injection wells in the Austral Basin and were carried out under the criteria set forth by Disposition No. SMA 135/07.

The assessment covered wells DM-12 and DMNa-2. Both returned positive results, confirming that their casings maintain proper integrity conditions and allowing operations to continue within the established parameters.

The work was carried out by staff from the Environmental Control area, with the participation of engineers Luis Lucero, Fernanda Silva and Florencia Díaz, who oversaw the process and verified its results.

The activity is part of the inspections promoted by the Santa Cruz provincial government, through the Ministry of Energy and Mining, to verify compliance with environmental regulations in energy and mining activities.
