Training Platform Presented Aligned with Industry Demands
At the Mendoza Legislature, CURSALA, a training platform oriented toward developing skills and competencies linked to current needs in the mining, energy, and other productive sectors, was presented.
The event was attended by Vice Governor Hebe Casado, who supported the session and subsequently received Luis Varela, CURSALA founder, and the professionals on the platform's team in her office.
CURSALA emerged from the experience of professionals who understand the industry's challenges firsthand and seeks to create a bridge between that specialized knowledge and individuals who need to acquire new tools to advance professionally.
During the presentation, Varela explained that the initiative was born from a concrete industry experience: the need for professionals to acquire certain skills quickly and directly linked to real-world situations.
"The idea is to bring professional experience closer to someone just entering the field, or to a professional who may have been in the industry for ten years but lacks certain skills and wants to acquire them quickly through a short course," he noted.
In this regard, he highlighted that the platform aims to develop specific and focused training programs. "We aim to ensure that in a short timeframe, individuals acquire a skill enhanced by industry expertise," he explained.
As an example, he mentioned courses related to networks and telecommunications, taught by specialists with over 16 or 20 years of experience in those fields, with the goal of ensuring that knowledge can be incorporated directly and practically.
Industry Experience Applied to Training
Varela shared that CURSALA's creation was the result of a multi-year process in which concrete needs faced by those working in industrial sectors were identified.
"It has been a long journey to develop and consolidate all the industry experience, to understand the challenges and what a person faces when they need to solve a problem," he explained.
From that experience, the idea emerged to develop a platform that would enable connecting a specialized professional with an individual who needs to solve a problem, learn a new skill, or acquire specific knowledge.
CURSALA's founder also emphasized the importance of practical experience in sectors where an incorrect decision can have significant consequences.
"In the industry, you sometimes need to work alongside a professional for six months to feel truly confident putting your hand in and not causing damage or a problem, which can sometimes be very costly," he recounted.
In that sense, CURSALA seeks to narrow the gap between the experience accumulated by specialists and those who need access to it to address concrete situations and continue developing professionally.
An Interdisciplinary Team
Varela is accompanied by a team of professionals from different fields who participate in developing the proposal, including Mauricio Gnesi, an engineer specializing in industrial maintenance; Emilia Abate, an engineer in Natural and Renewable Resources and specialist in Environmental Management; and Human Resources graduates Mariana Tissera and Melina Hidalgo.
The platform is thus presented as a space oriented toward developing skills and knowledge currently demanded by industry, with training delivered by professionals with direct experience in the fields in which they work.
The presentation held at the Legislature allowed attendees to learn about CURSALA's objectives and scope, as well as its proposal to generate new training tools and bring specialized knowledge closer to those seeking to continue growing professionally.
At the conclusion of the event, Vice Governor Hebe Casado received Luis Varela and the professionals who make up CURSALA in her office, where they discussed the initiative, its objectives, and challenges related to training professionals to meet new productive demands.
