Opposition group presents platform focusing on Vaca Muerta impact in Neuquén

A new political group in Neuquén presented its campaign platform with an eye toward the 2027 provincial elections, whose voting date has not yet been confirmed. The proposal positions itself as an opposition alternative to Governor Rolando Figueroa.

The launch focused on the economic and social impact of Vaca Muerta, one of the main drivers of Neuquén's productive activity. The group argued that development of the formation must translate into greater benefits for the province and its inhabitants.

The initiative was unveiled this Monday and marks the beginning of a political dispute that will have as one of its central issues the destination of resources generated by hydrocarbon exploitation. The platform aims to establish that discussion ahead of the next electoral process.
