Pan American Energy (PAE) submitted its application to join the Large Investment Incentive Regime (RIGI) for a new development in the Cerro Dragón area.
The initiative foresees an investment of US$ 1.2 billion and aims to increase production from the block, one of the company's principal hydrocarbon assets.
The request to enter the regime is part of PAE's strategy to advance large-scale investments in Argentina's energy sector under the benefits scheme established for major projects.
The information was disclosed during Argentina Week, although no additional details were released regarding the execution timeline, production targets, or disbursement schedule.
