By Comunicaciones Mineras

The Senate's Mining, Energy and Hydrocarbons Committee set its leadership this Wednesday after remaining vacant for several months.
Neuquén Senator Pablo Cervi was elected to chair the parliamentary body, in a vote in which he prevailed over the representative aligned with the political space of Neuquén Governor Rolando Figueroa.
The committee has jurisdiction over matters related to mining activity, the energy sector and hydrocarbons, strategic areas for the province and for the national productive agenda.
Cervi's appointment gives him a central role in the legislative handling of initiatives related to those sectors within the upper chamber.
