CNEA to Transfer Uranium Hexafluoride Production Technology to Dioxitek

The National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA) will transfer to Dioxitek its technology for uranium hexafluoride (UF6) production, an input linked to the nuclear fuel cycle.

The agreement will allow the state-owned enterprise to advance in the commercialization of the material with private companies, a possibility that was not previously authorized for this type of operation.

The measure represents a shift in Dioxitek's participation in the sector market, incorporating the capacity to offer UF6 to private actors based on technology developed by the CNEA.

Uranium hexafluoride is a compound used in uranium processing stages intended for nuclear fuel production. The technology transfer will fall under Dioxitek's purview, a state-owned enterprise linked to Argentina's nuclear activity.
