JP Morgan Focuses Investment Attention on Elections and Reform Continuity

Argentine national elections are concentrating the attention of funds, banks and major international investors, according to Dorothee Blessing, Managing Director and global co-head of Investment Banking at JP Morgan. The executive analyzed in Buenos Aires the conditions that could define greater capital inflows to the country.

Blessing stated that investors are evaluating whether the economic direction and reforms will continue after the elections. In this context, she linked political and regulatory stability with the possibility of expanding foreign direct investment flows to Argentina.

Among the sectors with greatest potential, she mentioned natural resources, energy and infrastructure. She also highlighted the strategic importance of agriculture, in an international scenario marked by the consequences of the war in Ukraine and the geopolitical relevance of food and energy security.

Marina Linhart, head of Investment Banking for Latin America at JP Morgan, noted that the region began registering net capital inflows in 2025 and 2026, following several years of outflows. According to her, the interest combines the search for stability, attractive valuations and long-term value creation opportunities.

The executive also stressed that Argentine companies demonstrate transformation capacity in digital areas and those linked to natural resources. Blessing added that investment banking analyzes financing needs with a perspective of several years, beyond individual transactions.

To sustain this trend, Blessing considered reform continuity and stability necessary. JP Morgan, she affirmed, maintains its presence in Argentina and the region after navigating different economic cycles, with a focus on its clients and long-term opportunities.
