Jorge Sanguin Assumes Senior Vice President of Operations at Austral Gold

Austral Gold Limited appointed mining engineer Jorge Sanguin as Senior Vice President of Operations, a position he began on September 1, 2026. The executive will be based in San Juan and report to the company's CEO.

His responsibilities include oversight of Austral Gold's assets in Argentina and Chile, as well as support for the company's operational and expansion strategy.

Sanguin brings over three decades of experience in Argentine mining and developed his career in gold and silver operations. He is a mining engineer graduate from the National University of San Juan.

His career includes positions as Director of Operations at Patagonia Gold, General Manager of Cerro Moro during Yamana Gold's tenure, Mining Manager at Manantial Espejo for Pan American Silver, and General Manager of Cerro Vanguardia, an operation affiliated with AngloGold Ashanti.

Austral Gold CEO Stabro Kasaneva highlighted that the appointment brings expertise in the safe and efficient management of complex mining operations, and noted that it will contribute to achieving operational targets and regional growth for the company.
