Grupo Dinosaurio inaugurates 40 MW solar park in northern Córdoba

Grupo Dinosaurio inaugurated its Photovoltaic Solar Park near Deán Funes, in the Ischilín department, with the participation of Córdoba Governor Martín Llaryora. The initiative required an approximate private investment of USD 30 million and ranks among the province's leading solar projects.

The complex has an installed capacity of 40 MW and covers 75 hectares. It is equipped with 58,500 bifacial panels mounted on structures with tracker technology, which orient the modules according to the sun's path to improve energy capture.

The plant was incorporated into the Community Distributed Generation regime promoted by the Córdoba Government. Its production will meet the electricity demand of Grupo Dinosaurio's various business units, while excess energy will be fed into the provincial grid.

To complete the connection, a transformer station and a maneuvering yard were constructed to boost the electricity and incorporate it into the 66 kV network operated by the Córdoba Provincial Energy Company (EPEC). The project benefited from coordination between the company, the Energy Secretariat, and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Services.

The project also included approximately 700 kilometers of underground cabling and imported equipment, primarily from China, as well as specialized suppliers. During construction, approximately 200 jobs were created, with the majority of workers from municipalities in northern Córdoba.

During the inauguration ceremony, Llaryora highlighted the project's contribution to regional energy and productive development, stating that "this project gives energy sovereignty to the north." He also emphasized the importance of electrical infrastructure and coordination between private investment and the provincial government.
