García Hamilton analyzes the RIGI and a federal tool to attract investment

José García Hamilton, who served as Legal and Administrative Secretary of the Ministry of Economy until May, analyzed the implementation of the Incentive Regime for Large Investments (RIGI) and the tools envisioned to support its application throughout the country.
During his tenure, the official took part in the tasks related to rolling out the regime, one of the central instruments of economic policy for promoting large-scale investments.
The analysis also covered the expectations generated by the RIGI, the institutional challenges it poses, and the conditions needed for its benefits to reach projects located outside the main economic hubs.
Among the points raised was the need to coordinate the regime with a federal-level tool, along with the doubts and concerns that emerged around its implementation.
García Hamilton left his post in May, after being part of the Ministry of Economy team tasked with advancing the design and administrative execution of the program.
