At its peak, Argentina's energy industry has its first complete mapping of main players

At the best moment in the history of Argentina's energy industry and with an international context that further strengthens the interest of international players in the country, Forbes decided to compile the first list bringing together the 100 most relevant companies in the sector.

They convened major firms operating in Vaca Muerta alongside companies unknown to the general public—yet holding a prominent position in the value chain—with the goal of identifying who the main players in the nation's most dynamic economic activity are and what their future projects look like.

The list is divided into seven categories according to the segment occupied by each company's main business in the energy value chain and was ordered alphabetically. The information compiled includes audited financial statements and balance sheets, official data from the Energy Ministry, and information provided by the companies themselves, which were largely willing to collaborate with the research.

We gathered each company's CEO name, principal shareholders, country of origin, year of incorporation, revenue, number of employees, production metrics or market share, and projected investments (clicking on each company will display additional information). 

Additionally, in other publications we created rankings by revenue, company age, nationality of parent companies, and companies led by women CEOs.
