Embalse initiates scheduled shutdown and expects to resume generation by late November

The Embalse Nuclear Power Plant went offline last Friday, after surpassing the period of highest electricity demand during the night, to begin a new scheduled technical shutdown.

The interruption is due to maintenance work planned for the facility located in Córdoba province. During this period, the power plant will remain offline and unable to supply electricity to the grid.

According to the schedule provided, the unit is expected to resume electricity generation by late November, once the work contemplated in this phase is completed.

The shutdown is part of the operational planning for the Embalse Nuclear Power Plant and no information was released indicating it was caused by an unforeseen failure.
