Eighteen candidates seek to head Enrege

Eighteen people have applied for the presidency of the Ente Nacional Regulador del Gas y la Electricidad (Enrege), the agency in charge of regulating both public services.

Among the applicants is the current secretary of the area, although available information does not specify the identity of the other candidates or detail the next steps in the process.

The selection will determine who will lead the regulatory agency, whose creation brings together in a single structure the functions related to the gas and electricity markets.

The process is currently underway and, so far, has registered 18 applications for the position of president.
