The Net-Zero Circle by IN-VR is preparing the 5th Argentina Critical Minerals Summit, which will take place between October 28-30, 2026 in Buenos Aires and Mendoza. Comunicaciones Mineras will serve as Media Partner with full coverage, featuring key personalities and the agenda of this international event.

The gathering, now in its fifth edition, seeks to consolidate Argentina as one of the central destinations for international investment in copper, lithium, and silver, in a context of growing global demand for minerals considered strategic for the energy transition.

The agenda includes an opening in Buenos Aires with high-level panels on national policy, investment strategy, and the evolution of Argentina's mining framework. Subsequently, the summit will move to Mendoza for the Mendoza Finance Day and the TSX Roadshow, an event designed to connect previously assessed projects with international institutional investors.

The Andean Bridge financial corridor

The 2026 edition is built upon The Andean Bridge, a long-term financial corridor launched during the 2025 summit and formalized between IN-VR, the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX), the TSX Venture Exchange, the Government of Mendoza, BYMA (Bolsas y Mercados Argentinos), and the Mendoza Stock Exchange. This platform aims to connect energy and critical minerals projects from Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Bolivia with both regional and international capital, in a scheme designed to scale and provide predictability to funding rounds for the sector.

The scheme emerged as a response to growing demand from capital markets for more structured mechanisms linking early-stage mining projects with specialized investment funds—a deficit that has historically limited junior companies' access to financing from markets like Canada's.

Mendoza as regional financial epicenter

The Mendoza Finance Day, organized jointly with Impulsa Mendoza and TMX, will bring together over 20 pre-selected projects that will present to qualified investors and venture capital firms linked to the TSX Capital Pool, in a format to be held at the Mendoza Stock Exchange headquarters. The day will include structured matchmaking sessions between projects and investors, an informal panel in "Meet the Investors" format, and a networking space called "Mines and Wines."

Through this initiative, Mendoza Province reinforces its strategy to position itself as a regional financial hub for mining investment in Latin America, leveraging its local stock market infrastructure and coordination with international capital markets such as Canada's, traditionally relevant for financing exploration and mining development projects.

Participation and thematic agenda

According to organizers, the summit is expected to convene over 250 senior leaders, 160 companies, and 20 government officials from across the Andean region, a scale surpassing the 2025 edition, when the event had gathered over 200 leaders and 13 international delegations.

The content program will address Argentina's copper, lithium, and silver project portfolios, the impact of the Large Investment Incentive Regime (RIGI) on project bankability, infrastructure and logistics issues, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria linked to community relations, as well as a CEO roundtable focused on the country's investment outlook.

Confirmed speakers include Michael Meding of Los Azules (McEwen Copper); Ignacio Celorrio of Lithium Argentina; Simon Perez Alsina of EXAR; Jimena Latorre, Minister of Energy and Environment of Mendoza Province; Guillaume Legare of the Toronto Stock Exchange; and Roberto Cacciola of CAEM (Argentine Chamber of Mining Entrepreneurs), among other public and private sector leaders.

Critical minerals at the center of strategy

The surge in global demand for copper, lithium, and silver, driven by electrification and the energy transition, positions Argentina—alongside Chile, Peru, and Bolivia—as a protagonist in an international race to secure critical mineral supply. In this scenario, the summit presents itself as a coordination space among the public sector, mining companies, and capital markets, with a focus on project bankability and current regulatory frameworks, including RIGI, which since its implementation seeks to attract large-scale investments to the sector through long-term fiscal and exchange rate stability.

From IN-VR, a global consulting firm specializing in energy, mining, and investment promotion, it was highlighted that organizing such gatherings aims to translate into bankable investments and concrete strategic alliances among governments, companies, and international financiers, in a sector requiring multi-year planning horizons spanning exploration, feasibility, construction, and production stages.
