Argentina, Chile, Bolivia and Peru agree to cooperate on strategic minerals

Argentina, Chile, Bolivia and Peru agreed to deepen the integration of their mining sectors through a joint declaration on strategic minerals. The agreement was formalized in Santiago, Chile, during the first regional ministerial meeting dedicated to the topic.

The agreement aims to promote investment, expand technical cooperation and develop reliable supply chains linked to these resources. The initiative seeks to build a common agenda among the participating countries.

In parallel, Argentina and Chile made progress in defining protocols for copper projects located in the border area of San Juan. This bilateral understanding complements the regional commitment reached by the four governments.

The declaration marks a new step toward greater mining coordination among Argentina, Chile, Bolivia and Peru, countries with significant roles in the production and development of minerals considered strategic.
